I work collaboratively with other Board Members and staff to ensure that the organization effectively serves its members and advances its goals.Key responsibilities of the role include:Advocating for Second Amendment Rights: I help advocate for Second Amendment rights at the local, state, and national levels. This may include lobbying elected officials, participating in grassroots organizing efforts, and educating the public about the importance of the Second Amendment.Promoting Firearm Safety and Training: The Kansas State Rifle Association promotes safe and responsible firearm use. I advocate for training programs for members and the public, ensuring that they have the knowledge and skills necessary to safely handle firearms.Supporting Conservation Efforts: The Kansas State Rifle Association recognizes the importance of responsible conservation practices to ensure that wildlife and their habitats are protected. I support the organization\'s efforts to promote responsible hunting and outdoor activities, as well as its partnerships with conservation organizations and agencies.Attending Board Meetings and Participating in Decision-Making: As a Board Member, I attend Board meetings, participate in discussions, and provide input on important decisions that impact the organization. I am responsible for representing the interests of the organization and its members and helping to guide the direction of the organization.Fundraising and Membership Development: The Kansas State Rifle Association relies on the support of its members and donors to carry out its mission.
