In-house legal counsel for U.S. credit card company of employees providing legal services in the corporate business areas of sales, marketing, privacy, data security, cardholder documentation and compliance, including the following: responsible for drafting, reviewing and updating hundreds of cardholder credit applications, account opening disclosures, credit agreements, and privacy policies and notices across all product lines; responsible for both drafting cardholder communications as well as ensuring that the company’s practices regarding updating, upgrading and otherwise amending customer credit agreements are done in compliance with best practices as well as applicable state and federal laws; advises the business on methods to ensure proper and enforceable delivery of documents across all platforms and devices including on-line, digital and mobile; advises the sales, marketing and financial business areas to ensure overall compliance with both internal practices and procedures as well as applicable laws; reviews marketing and advertising materials for the company\'s general purpose credit card as well as manages a team of employees (4) who review the enterprise’s marketing and advertising materials for client credit card portfolios to ensure compliance with applicable laws and best practices; responsible for providing legal advice to the company’s privacy area including updating privacy policies and practices to ensuring overall compliance with both domestic and international privacy laws and regulations; manages federal and state new law review process for the enterprise; conducts investigations on behalf of the enterprise related to employee complaints and concerns and provides advice and counsel to the human resources department regarding the same.
