About Blaine Overby

I\'m the VP of Customer Success at SAM Labs, a K-8 STEAM EdTech company helping students build real-world skills through hands-on learning. I lead a team of Customer Success Managers and oversee Professional Learning and Customer Support, with GDR, retention, and expansion as my core commercial accountabilities. My work sits at the intersection of people, strategy, and revenue. I build CS organizations that operate with rigor and heart, ones where customers feel genuinely supported and the business sees it in the numbers. At SAM Labs, I\'m focused on protecting and growing durable revenue, building scalable systems across customer tiers, and developing a team of CSMs who own their book of business with confidence and care. Before SAM Labs, I spent time at MagicSchool as one of the company\'s earliest CS hires, building the Customer Success function from the ground up and helping drive 118.9% NRR against a 110% target. I grew from individual contributor to Senior Manager within six months, a reflection of what happens when you combine strong operating instincts with a relentless focus on outcomes. Before SaaS, I was a high school principal. That background isn\'t just a fun fact. It\'s the lens through which I lead. I understand district decision-making, change management, and the real constraints educators face. It makes me a better partner to customers and a more credible voice at the table. I\'m energized by building things that scale, developing CS leaders who grow into strong commercial operators, and proving that Customer Success can be both a relationship function and a growth engine.
