About Blaine Larson
My career started at laborer position learning the ropes of heavy Civil. Started operating and shooting grade for quality workmanship. Loved everything I was experiencing. Promoted to Foreman leading a earthwork crew doing excavations, backfilling, installing sewer an water, along with placing material compaction and putting to final grade. Foreman duties several years mining, highway work, water treatment, wastewater plant, airport runways and apron demo and regarded. Promoted to Superintendent: Lead many crews maintaining safe production on heavy civil projects such as DOT. which included all drainage and earthworks along with concrete barriers poured in placed, bridge widening, m.s.e. walls. Airport demo and rebuild such as drainage and earthworks projects were done on time and within schedule as KD were tied to the job. Construction manager on DOT work up to 150 million dollar projects, from greenfield to rebuilds in the city. I assist on estimating and planning on alternate delivery projects and executed the projects to the end. Both Design Build and CMGC. One of the projects was ABC bridge that we built beside highway and moved into place while traffic still moving only stopped traffic for 4 night shifts. With my experience I was asked to help estimating team with several different types of bids from coal mines, to copper mines, to DOT highway work along with airport rebuild work. Recruited to Turner Mining Group for Director of Operations position managing safety of projects, working with all projects ensuring the specs were and scope were being followed and followed thru and managed change orders and standby changes to contracts. Help the Team make changes to optimize equipment and personal. Love working with people and managing projects that need help. Putting it all together fulfills my day.
