About Brecken Kasel
I’m a sophomore Finance student at Kansas State University (Class of 2028) with a strong interest in investment banking and private equity. I’m drawn to the fast-paced, analytical nature of deal work and enjoy digging into valuation, financial modeling, and industry research. I’m actively building the technical skill set and professional foundation needed to pursue a career in high finance.Beyond academics, I’ve taken on leadership roles that have strengthened my communication, decision-making, and team-management abilities. I serve as the New Member Educator for Phi Delta Theta and previously served as Vice President, where I oversaw the executive board and supported chapter operations. These roles have allowed me to manage people, lead initiatives, and operate in environments where accountability and structure matter.I’m a dedicated member of Kansas State’s Finance Scholars program, where I’ve furthered my training in valuation, modeling, markets, and professional development. I stay heavily involved on campus through student organizations, philanthropy, and finance-focused activities that allow me to apply what I learn and connect with like-minded peers. I’m continually seeking opportunities to grow, contribute, and prepare for a career in investment banking or private equity.
