About Bita Razavi-Maleki

Passionate about understanding diverse perspectives and fostering inclusive communities Past: I have dedicated my academic and professional journey to the study of issues related to education and accessibility. With a B.A. and M.A. in the fields of cultural studies and anthropology, I\'ve leveraged my expertise in workforce advancement in various roles, from cross-cultural career development coach to talent acquisition specialist in non-profit organizations, where I championed diversity, accessibility of resources, and equity. Driven by a commitment to social justice, I pursued a Ph.D. in Educational Leadership and Policy at the University of Texas at Austin. My research focused on policies affecting the education of English Learner (EL) and immigrant student populations, striving to enhance their access to postsecondary education. Present: Currently, I am the senior program manager on the Data Strategy and Analytics team at Texas Education Agency, working on the development and enhancement of data interoperability tools for school districts. I assist this effort through project management, strategic program support and research and communication.
