ABOUT BISWA BHUSANA MAHAPATRA
Biswa has earned Master’s degree in Life Science from the National Institute of Technology Rourkela and a PhD in Ecology from the Ashoka Trust for Research in Ecology and the Environment (ATREE). His interests in species introduction and biological invasion were piqued during his first visit to BR Hills, where he encountered invasive species. His doctoral thesis delves into the impact of climate change on the distribution of invasive vertebrates while exploring the differences between each invasive vertebrate\'s native and introduced niches. He is also studying the correlation between socioeconomic and ecological factors and fauna invasion. He also holds the position of Research Ethics & Integrity Officer. His role primarily includes documentation, policy formulation and intervention, capacity building on campus, and maintaining the best practices of research integrity on campus.
