Serving as PCB designer for next-gen radar and microelectronics packaging solutions for advanced airborne and space applications- Leading the mechanical design of a single-board tileable space radar CCA, including a 17-layer High-Density-Interconnect (HDI) stackup, digital controls, RF manifold, and Next-Higher-Assembly (NHA) components meeting Class-C requirements. Carried this design from concept design review to critical design review, which will lead to production- Navigating the design process for this space radar CCA by using a Gantt chart to identify high-priority tasks, organize a project timeline, set milestone reviews, and collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team of engineers for feedback and task delegation- Interfaced with suppliers to identify and procure RF, logic, and power connectors for CCAs. Interfaced with vendors to provide PCB drawings and data packages for quotes and lead time estimates- Designed and released multiple test PCBs with complex RF routes using AutoCAD Mechanical for design and Mentor Graphics for producibility reviews- Conducted mechanical analyses of MCM test sockets and NHA fixtures to be used in thermal and humidity tests, improving the design of the NHA fixture and CCA to provide improved structural support for the assembly. Used NX to model cabling configurations for CCAs in a test chamber- Supported production follow-through for predecessor space radar CCA, providing troubleshooting assistance as the product goes through testing- Communicated electromechanical designs to suppliers, consultants, customers, and subject matter experts through informal discussions and formal design reviews- Providing mentoring, both technical and professional, to an intern engineer- Experienced with PCB design, PCB producibility guidelines, material selection, advanced microelectronics design and specifications, engineering drawings and documentation, GD & T, AutoCAD Mechanical, NX, Mentor Graphics, and ANSYS
