ABOUT BIRGIT KLESPER
Birgit Klesper is an expert in sustainability, ESG and Corporate Social Responsibility Management (CSR). As Senior Advisor she is engaged in the Better Earth management consultancy network. Previously Birgit Klesper worked as Senior Vice President, Group Corporate Responsibility & Sustainability, for Deutsche Telekom AG in Bonn, Germany. She joined the company in 2006 and held various leadership positions in Corporate Communications, Future Work and Transformational Change, among others. Prior to that, Birgit Klesper was the Spokeswoman of the Wella Group and responsible for Corporate Communications (worldwide). With the acquisition of Wella AG by Procter & Gamble in 2004, she took on additional tasks in the Corporate Communications of the American group. Other stations in her professional career include managing the press and information department at Tchibo (Coffee Company) in Hamburg and management positions in Corporate Communications at Philip Morris GmbH. Birgit Klesper volunteered in various organizations. Among others, she was a honorary chairwoman of “econsense (Forum Nachhaltige Entwicklung der Deutschen Wirtschaft e.V.)”. She is a former member of the Board of trustees of “Aktion Deutschland hilft” (alliance of German aid organizations) and of German “CSR-Forum”. Furthermore she has been engaged in the board of management of the “Global e-Sustainability Initiative”, in the initiative “Charta digitale Vernetzung” and the advisory council of the sustainability platform “nachhaltig.digital”. She was co-founder and CEO of the non-profit initiative \"Ich kann was\" for disadvantaged children (today part of the Deutsche Telekom Foundation).
