Possess sound knowledge and a keen interest in the etiology of esophageal squamous cell carcinoma (ESCC), genetic and epigenetic markers of ESCC risk, and unveiling new targets for therapeutic intervention of cancer. Have served as an important member of the WHO/IARC-NIH ESCC cancer task group, which identified priority research questions for future research on ESCC.
