ABOUT BIOANTIKA
I am a Mining Engineer by training and PhD candidate in a joint program between the Camborne School of Mines, University of Exeter, and the Sustainable Minerals Institute, University of Queensland. My doctoral research focuses on the waste prevention innovation through the production of ore‑sand as a by-product from copper mineral processing circuits. This research is funded by Newmont, the University of Exeter, and the University of Queensland.I commenced full‑time university study (BEng in Mining and Mineral Engineering) at age 15. I worked as a mining engineer and consultant for more than 5 years before starting my PhD. From there I gained operational experience at the interface of engineering, sustainability, and resource management. This has made me comfortable moving between technical analysis, operational settings, and multidisciplinary teams.Alongside my technical work, I have a longstanding background in competitive debating and team leadership at national and international levels. I have also been working and studying in Indonesia, US, UK, and Australia.
