ABOUT BINOD B.

As an experienced Infection Control and Healthcare Professional with extensive years in infection prevention and control (IPAC) and healthcare management, Bin has a proven track record of ensuring patient safety, staff well-being, and the delivery of high-quality healthcare. Throughout his career in Canada and North American hospitals, he has successfully implemented comprehensive IPAC programs and managed complex healthcare projects, contributing significantly to patient care and safety outcomes.Bin (Binod) holds a robust set of professional qualifications, including a MD, PhD, CMDRT, CHE, and CIC. He is a long-standing Certified Infection Control professional with the Certification Board of Infection Control and Epidemiology Inc. and has played a pivotal role in advancing infection control standards and guidelines both nationally and internationally.His leadership and expertise were particularly evident during the COVID-19 pandemic, where he successfully led IPAC initiatives at South Seminole Hospital in Orlando Health Longwood, Florida. Binod’s strategies ensured that the hospital remained free from healthcare-associated infections and COVID-19 related deaths, even during the most challenging times.In addition to his hands-on clinical and operational expertise, Bin is deeply involved in the development of national and international IPAC standards. He serves as a mirror committee member at the Standards Setting Council of Canada and as an item writing committee member at CBIC. His expertise extends to Health Technology Assessment,vaccine development, and drug market authorization processes, with over 15 years of experience advising on vaccine and pharmaceutical innovations in Canada and North America.Bin is also a passionate educator and researcher. He provides online consultations, tutorials, and thought leadership on topics related to IPAC, vaccine lifecycle development, and clinical trial management. With an ability to speak six (6) languages & experience working in more than 18 countries across Asia, the Middle East, Europe, and North America, Bin brings a global perspective to infection control, healthcare management, and project execution. His motto, “To do the right things without letting people know,” reflects his selfless leadership approach and dedication to excellence, even when working behind the scenes.Outside of his work, Binod is a certified yoga instructor who volunteers to teach yoga & meditation classes to his local community.
