I am a Tech Lead Manager at Meta Monetization Ranking & Foundational AI. Prior to joining Meta, I held the position of Principal Machine Learning Scientist Manager at Microsoft Advertising within the Division of Artificial Intelligence and Research (AI+R). My primary focus involves conducting research and development to enhance ads ranking models through the implementation of advanced machine learning techniques.Before my tenure at Microsoft Advertising, I served as a Lead Researcher at Microsoft Research Asia (MSRA). My research interests have encompassed a range of areas, including machine learning, data mining, information retrieval, and computational advertising. I have had the privilege of sharing my findings through the publication of over 40 papers in esteemed international conferences and journals, such as KDD, SIGIR, WSDM, CIKM, ECML, ICDM, ACM MM, TKDE, and IRJ, among others. Additionally, I have made contributions to Microsoft Bing, BingAds, and XiaoIce, having developed and implemented more than 10 techniques. I have been granted or have pending 25 U.S. patents.An essential aspect of my professional journey has been mentoring over 30 interns from esteemed universities in China, the U.S.A, Korea, and other countries.
