Ever since I was a kid, I had one habit; if something had screws, I wanted to open it up.That curiosity for machinery led me to pursue a Mechanical Engineering degree from Government Engineering College Barton Hill. Over the years, this passion evolved from tinkering with parts to optimizing entire manufacturing processes.During my journey, I co-founded BETAMEX, an assistive technology startup, where I explored the intersection of innovation and manufacturing. This experience reignited my passion for manufacturing and problem-solving. To further deepen my expertise, I researched Hybrid Additive Manufacturing and earned my Master’s in Manufacturing Technology from NIT Tiruchirapalli.I have hands-on industry experience as a Manufacturing Engineer in the automotive sector. In that role, I:+Increased production output by 25% and reduced cycle time by 22% by commonising fixture conveyors for new and existing models.+Improved machine OEE through the installation of a centralized grease system, enabling production scale-up from 20 to 180 units/day.+Optimized procurement processes by identifying facility needs, applying ECRS principles, and negotiating with suppliers for cost savings.+Supported new product development (NPDS) by preparing facilities for model launches and collaborating with R&D on DFA improvements.+Built rapport with shopfloor teams and cross-functional stakeholders to drive efficiency and collaboration.Now, I’m transitioning into the field of Manufacturing Data Engineering / Digital Manufacturing (Industry 4.0).
