As Capability Talent Manager, I’m responsible for supporting, developing and empowering our DevOps & Cloud Engineering community. My role centres on fostering a high-performing, inclusive and collaborative environment where people thrive both personally and professionally.Working closely with individuals and teams, I focus on skills development, resource planning, and aligning talent with our Go-to-Market strategies. I also play a key role in shaping community structures and driving initiatives that support growth, wellbeing and long-term career progression.Highlights of my work include:> Providing regular 1:1 coaching and mentoring aligned with personal development plans and GTM goals.> Supporting goal setting, OKR reviews, performance management and conflict resolution.> Building a diverse and inclusive team culture where everyone feels valued and supported.> Contributing to the design and rollout of our UK & I career framework – the foundation for learning, progression and promotion.> Leading a successful onboarding and induction process for new joiners.> Hosting monthly GTM and Talent Pool calls to keep teams aligned and informed.> Creating & publishing monthly roundup sessions to celebrate achievements and share progress across the organisation.> Growing Communities of Practice (CoPs) to encourage collaboration and continuous learning.> Designing and refining our interview process, and mentoring engineers to become confident interviewers.> Monitoring attrition trends and proactively addressing challenges.> Tracking Peakon engagement scores and acting on feedback to support team morale and wellbeing.> Overseeing staff deployment to ensure the right skills are matched to the right opportunities.> Ensuring all professional qualifications remain current and aligned to strategic needs.> Managing wellbeing across remote and in-person teams.> Upholding compliance across HR procedures, including absence, grievance and disciplinary processes.
