My technical expertise is in Launch Systems/Ground Processing, Systems engineering, Program/project management, and both ground and flight Safety. My leadership experience involves leading and working with small teams through large multi organizational and diverse teams on a variety of topics and issues/projects. I have excellent organizational, troubleshooting and problem solving skills. I am considered to be creative and unusual (innovative) in my thinking both tactically and strategically. I am currently the Deputy Chief Safety and Mission Assurance Officer (CSO) for the Commercial Crew Program. Previously was the Chief of the Commercial Crew Program Safety and Mission Assurance Office and acting Chief Safety Officer. Before that I worked in the Space Transportation Planning office developing the architecture and program structure for the 21st Century Space Launch Complex at KSC. My experience includes - developing Launch Site/System architectures, ensuring that the associated ground systems, equipment, and facilities are being designed, constructed, and tested to support NASA\'s needs for a Launch Complex. Lead an agency wide working group in rewriting the NASA Standard for Ground Support Equipment Design and Fabrication. I was the Ares I-X Ground Systems IPT Integration Manager/Deputy responsible for concept, development, and implementation of all the necessary modifications to facilities, systems, and hardware to make KSC Ares I-X capable without impacting existing Space Shuttle processing and launches. Lead the KSC Launch and Landing Team during STS-114 Return to Flight Design Certification and Operational Readiness Reviews to recertify KSC facilities and systems to process and launch Shuttles after the Columbia accident.
