He works in conjunction with Lee Tyler and alongside Leanne Taylor as part of a nine strong team providing practice and business support to the barristers. Described by clients in the leading directories as ‘very responsive’ ‘down to earth’ and ‘a pleasure throughout’, Billy’s career as a barristers’ clerk spans more than 15 years.He provides advice to the individual members of chambers in relation to the progression and management of their practices, and also contributes to the marketing and business development strategy of chambers as a whole. His daily responsibilities include supporting client relationships, managing diaries, allocating work and negotiating fees.In addition to looking after the clients and business in 2TG’s domestic markets, Billy has a particular focus on international work emanating from Europe and the Gulf States. He is a regular visitor to these regions and plays a leading role in the set’s annual arbitration conference in Dubai.Over the years he has been at 2TG, Billy has developed a sound knowledge of all Chambers’ specialist areas and is equally at home whether dealing with clients of the commercial, insurance or healthcare and injury practices.In recent years, he has undertaken the Bar Council’s Direct Public Access Course, Advanced Equality and Diversity Training and in 2019 completed the ILM Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management.
