About Bill Ursic
I have over 14 years of experience in equipment and fleet management, with driver and vehicle safety as my top priority.Currently, I work in the Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS) department at EQT Corporation, where I manage the company’s fleet of vehicles and equipment, which totals over 1,500 units. Guided by our #RespectTheWrench culture, which highlights the importance of frontline workers, I ensure vehicles and specialized equipment are safe, reliable, and ready for demanding field conditions. My focus is on reducing downtime, strengthening safety and compliance, controlling fuel and maintenance costs, and optimizing logistics so our crews can work efficiently without delays or equipment failures so we can keep the energy flowing.Previously, I worked as a Fleet Sourcing agent for Equitrans Midstream Corporation from 2018 -\'21, where not only did I manage the fleet, but also performed other Supply Chain functions for our Safety and Security teams. Prior to that I served as Centuri Construction Group\'s Regional Fleet Manager in the Northeast, accountable for serving the Area Operations of their subsidiary, NPL Construction Co, by providing strategic guidance related to fleet management and compliance, as well as the administration of various cost-saving and safety initiatives.(NPL Construction specialized in the replacement of utility infrastructure for gas distribution companies.) Moreover, I was also co-chairman of NPL’s sustainability committee, and have played an integral role in NPL\'s idle-reduction efforts, where the company avoided over in fuel spend in 2014 -\'15. Fresh out of college, I was the Managing Editor at Racer X Illustrated, where I ensured we met monthly deadlines for one of the top motocross publications in the world. Not only did I manage the magazine, I also managed multiple projects at once, including event programs (Supercross/Arenacross/Freestyle souvenir yearbooks) and The Racing Paper. In 2007, I also collaborated with Motorbooks and renowned photographer Simon Cudby and penned the book Supercross Unleashed: The Joy of SX. Fun Fact: I was a professional motocross rider from and qualified for two professional 125cc motocross nationals-Budds Creek \'00 and Steel City \'03.
