About Bill Sorvino

Bill Sorvino, born and raised in Jersey City, NJ honed his craft on stages and in films throughout New York City and LA. Starting his entertainment career as a singer/songwriter, Bill transitioned into acting and attended the rigorous acting program at William Esper Studio (The Hollywood Reporter\'s top 25 drama schools in the world) followed by another year in master class refining character development and script analysis. Nephew of legendary actor Paul Sorvino, and cousin to Academy Award winning actress Mira Sorvino, Bill has established himself as an award winning and critically acclaimed actor. Sorvino has won 5 acting awards as well as several more nominations and was named on the 50 most influential people in Hudson County three times in 2013, 2014 and 2016. Bill is the founder and president of the Golden Door International Film Festival. GDIFF was named one of MovieMaker Magazine\'s 50 Film Festivals Worth The Entry Fee and was named #1 Film Festival in New Jersey by New Jersey Stage Magazine twice, GDIFF is widely recognized as one of the top tier film festivals on the east coast.
