I help cancer patients with navigating the day-to-day with once being diagnosed with cancer and what to do next. There is not a how to book out there that explains that once you get cancer what do you do next. The divorce rate with cancer patients is up to 60% higher than the national average for normal divorces. That’s because people don’t understand the better or for worse vowels that they take when they get married. So many cancer patients get walked out on by their spouses because I can’t handle the stresses of what cancer brings. It also brings out mental illness in people who normally are going undiagnosed until something like this happens. I talk about the many faces of mental illness in people when we do our group therapy And it’s really hard to understand it unless you’ve gone through it. And anybody that’s gone through cancer understands with another cancer patient is going through.
