The SVP, Chief Procurement Officer at Schwan’s, Bill is responsible for procurement, strategic sourcing and supply base management of goods and services for Schwan’s Global Supply Chain, Schwan’s Business Units, Corporate offices, and other designated entities. He also oversees the commodity and energy risk management activities for Global Supply Chain. Known for driving large scale savings to the bottom line and creating efficient processes to sustain the ongoing practices and developing talented teams. He recently led the procurement area during the merger with CJ Foods.Previously, Bill served as the Senior Vice President, Purchasing and Supply Chain/Logistics for Lee Kum Kee Foods America, Inc, where he improved customer fulfillment levels 30%(from 76.6% to 99.7%) in just 4 months’ time by identifying and resolving inadequate functionality of transportation, capacity planning, material availability, and organizational structure.As the VP Procurement & Logistics for Well’s Dairy and Director of Raw Materials for Sara Lee Corporation he produced purchase price variance (PPV) of $43 million (8.6%) on raw material spend of $500 million to exceed cost reduction requirements of 5%.As a Board Member, he currently serves as a Director for Tru Shrimp Company and is a Commissioner for the Marshall Municipal Utilities. Previously, he served as a Director for Modern Dairy Markets, LLC; a Committee Member for the International Dairy Foods Association; and as an Advisory Committee Member for the Worldwide Food, Dairy & Beverage Expo. Passionate about children’s education and the environment, Bill spends time volunteering at schools and non-profits teaching about bees, and beekeeping, a hobby that he learned in his youth and now has created a pollinator partnership with SMSU.
