ABOUT BILL WILKINS

I am a Chartered Civil Engineer leading the Civil Engineering division in Manchester and am passionate about sustainable placemaking.I have over 29 years’ experience in infrastructure, city centre regeneration, site development, masterplanning, public realm, brownfield remediation, water, rail, nuclear, residential, healthcare, education, commercial and industrial developments within the public and private sectors. I specialise in and provide technical excellence in the areas adoptable drainage design, SuDS, blue /green infrastructure, pavement design, utility infrastructure and flood risk. Beyond these primary specialist technical areas, I am experienced in the design and multi-discipline project management of major brownfield regeneration and city centre public realm regeneration schemes involving adoptable highways, drainage and utilities infrastructure. In undertaking the roles of Lead Project Engineer, Senior Project Manager and Contract Administrator, I have performed feasibility assessments, EIA delivery, planning applications, tender preparation, contract procurement and administration, technical design, multi-discipline design team management, value and risk management, statutory consultations and project delivery through the entire project cycle from concept to completion under various contract forms.Specialties: Site development.Brownfield / greenfield / city centre urban regeneration Adoptable drainage design and modelling for S104 and S185 Agreements.Sustainable placemaking inc.
