In 1990, my wife, Lee, and I and our two sons (Nick and Thomas) moved to Roseville from Sunnyvale, CA. I formed Counterpart Capital in 1993 and completed over 35 merger/acquisition transactions for clients in healthcare IT clients around the country and was engaged as an interim CEO role to lead the turnaround of two small companies in our region. September 9, 1993, I surrendered my life fully to Jesus so He could be my Lord and Savior and guide me down the pathway of righteousness into Heaven. Founded Shoulder To Shoulder (STS), a CA nonprofit corporation in 1995, to encourage and equip men to be Christ-like servant leaders in their home, church, and community. STS began the Point Man breakfast Series was launched in December 1995 and GOD blessed this ministry, reaching over men during in seven (7) years and featured speakers like Dr. Tony Evans, Steve Farrar, Dr. Rod Cooper, Chuck Stecker, and many other Christ-Centered leaders in ministry to men in our country. I retired from business in 2003 in order to focus all my attention to carrying out the vision GOD gave me, to encourage and equip men to be Christ-like servant leaders in their home, church, and community. In 2003, I was invited to be the Pastor for Ministry to Men at Adventure Christian Chuch (now Bayside Adventure Chuch), where I was responsible for ministering to men. GOD guided men to develop a \"transformational\" versus an \"informational\" ministry to men, which was prevalent in churches. In 2007, I GOD guided me to develop, as part of STS, Freedom Hall, located in Del Paso Heights, where 90% of the youth were living in a home without a father. 70% of incoming students to Martin Luther King Jr, middle school from various elementary schools were 2-3 years behind in reading, writing and math. Men from all over the greater Sacramento region began mentoring fatherless young boys from 7th grade through high school graduation. In March 2017, I stepped down from my role as CEO and a member of the Board of Directors of Shoulder To Shoulder. In the spring of 2018, I founded Forging Disciples to initiate life on life discipleship, which is benefiting the men we have discipled. We seek to help men become disciples of Jesus.
