For over thirty-eight years I have represented clients in disputes of all kinds in all kinds of forums from state courts to federal courts and arbitration. I am Board Certified by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization in Civil Trial Law and have been named one of the Best Lawyers in America and a Texas Super-Lawyer for over 20 years. My practice is concentrated in complex commercial disputes, health care fraud, contact disputes, business \"divorces\", a and lawsuits involving the buying and selling of securities. I have extensive experience in conducting internal corporate investigations involving numerous issues including accounting irregularities, healthcare fraud, and misconduct by officers of the company.For the first 25 years of my career, I typically represented defendants. But in the last ten years I have represented plaintiffs in commercial and fraud disputes where my team recovered over $110 million in settlements and judgments. Many of these cases were handled on a contingency fee basis.I am also involved in counseling companies in how to avoid litigation especially in the areas of corporate governance and planning of transactions.
