Familiar with designing for thermal management provisions like insulative G10, teflon tapes, and metallic coatings to tune absorptivity and emissivity. Responsible engineer for custom procured mechanisms and FPGA controllers.Create requirements and maintain thermal boundary conditions to keep component and vehicle thermal analysts in-sync with assumptions. Hands-on initial assembly builds alongside technicians to identify design for manufacturability improvements. Well-versed in Ansys model building for multiple component assemblies to analyze bolted joints, structure, modal, and buckling Develop qualification test campaigns for spacecraft mechanisms, identifying dynamic and thermal test equipment. Familiar with selecting materials for vacuum chambers. Design and analyze testing equipment including welded steel structures and liquid nitrogen thermal chamber.
