Bill has over fifteen years of experience in the fields of structural and earthquakeengineering. His areas of expertise include non-linear analysis, institutionalbuildings and design project management. Bill is recognized as an industry leader in performance based engineering and analysis. He frequently presents papers and publications at conferences world-wide. His commitment to Performance Based Engineering (PBE) includes his involvement with the developmentcommittee of ASCE/SEI 41.Bill has served as Principal and Project Manager leading teams on a number of projects. He has expertise in restoration and seismic retrofit of existing buildings, analysis and design of multi-story buildings, specialist in non-linear analysis of existing structures and pre-cast concrete structures. He utilizes a creative and “hands-on” design approach to enhance the final design. As Technical Director, Bill leads Holmes Structures’ development and implementation of industry-leadingideas, processes and solutions.
