In a commodity industry known for thin margins and aggressive pricing, we grew revenue, earnings, and return on invested capital to record highs—by doing the opposite of what conventional wisdom prescribed.Over 17 years, I held leadership roles across legal affairs, live operations, business development, and general management. I ultimately served on Tyson’s Poultry and Senior Leadership Teams, helping shape enterprise strategy at one of the world’s largest food companies—all while running an independent, differentiated subsidiary with full P&L ownership.My background is rare: I’m a licensed attorney who practiced tax and bond law before stepping into operations and executive leadership. That legal training continues to inform how I evaluate risk, structure opportunity, and lead with integrity.In 2025, I transitioned from my operating role into retirement on my own terms—and I’m not done building. I currently consult for Tyson Foods while exploring new opportunities to create value through leadership, legal counsel, board service, or entrepreneurial ventures.I’m most energized by people and businesses that think long-term, operate with conviction, and aren’t afraid to challenge the defaults.
