I am responsible for the daily operations & support of a 26 member SOC/ MSP, Security Engineering, Vulnerability Management teams that are part of the Global IT Security & Risk department. • Operational process standardization, automation and analysis.• Leverage KQL query language for data source log analysis. • Vulnerability management- identification & remediation. • MSP management and FTE SOC team building.• Security/audit remediation & validation, ISO27001 & SOC2.• Global SOC manager with 19 contractors (MSP) and 5 FTE’s Security Engineers & 2 VM team members for 24x7x365 coverage global team.• Coordinate incident response activities, table-top exercises and scenarios. • Palo Alto Firewall, Qradar SEIM, FireEye, Splunk, Ping, CyberArk, Qualys; SolarWinds, Zscaler, Crowd-Strike, MS E5 SEIM platform administration. • Evaluate and implement MS Entra & AWS Cloud security.• Primary lead for data/log ingestion into SEIM analysis.• Monitor & respond to EDR/E5/O365/Syslog alerts and incidents.• Lead analysis/escalation & resolution of security incidents.• Onboard Threat Intel into security solutions.• Run book/SOP development, standardization and implementation.• Quarterly Vulnerability scans, Annual external/internal PEN tests & Cyber Security Incident table-top exercises.• Oversee daily SOC activities, ensuring timely detection and response to security incidents.• Manage, mentor, and develop the SOC team, including Tier 1, 2, and 3 analysts as well as engineering teams.• Coordinate incident response efforts and collaborate with other departments including external partners.• Lead post-incident analysis to identify root causes and implement long-term corrective actions.• Continuously review and enhance SOC processes, including playbooks, response procedures, and threat hunting practices.• Develop and manage Detection Engineering program for security controls and threat vectors.• Develop and deploy proactive deception techniques and systems.
