About Bill Poteet
I have over forty years of real estate experience, of which thirty two years were focused on commercial real estate with a emphasis on retail and office leasing. I negotiated over 800 leases with national tenants, local retail and restaurant tenants, office users, and industrial tenants. My involvement in retail commercial leasing began with a regional shopping center developer with properties in Florida, Mississippi, and Michigan. During the 1990\'s, I was the Director of Leasing for Andrews and Associates, Inc. In 1996 I founded Poteet Properties Inc. as a commercial real estate brokerage company. In 2001 residential properties were added to the company portfolio. In 2003 Poteet Properties expanded into property management of office and retail properties. In 2007 I was provided the opportunity to provide professional development management services for a square foot mixed use project on 5th Avenue South. The project was selected as a winner in CBIA\'s Sand Dollar Awards for design and construction. Specialties: Retail Leasing - earned the Certified Leasing Specialist Designation from the International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC) in 1994, later replaced with the Senior Certified Leasing Specialist Designation (SCLS) in My skill set includes Lease negotiations, marketing, project planning, project management, property management, sales.
