   Project General Construction Manager at Fluor Federal Petroleum Operations which will be providing services to the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) on the Strategic Petroleum Reserve (SPR) Life Extension 2 project. Life Extension 2 will ensure the mission of the SPR will continue safely and effectively across multiple sites in LA and TX for decades to come.The Strategic Petroleum Reserve (SPR) was established by the Energy Policy and Conservation Act of 1975 in the aftermath of the 1973 Arab oil embargo. Its mission is to store crude oil to reduce the adverse economic impact of a major petroleum supply interruption to the United States and carry out obligations under the International Energy Program. The SPR is the largest emergency crude oil reserve in the world and is highly visible when oil prices rise or when global conflicts cause potential oil supply interruptions. The SPR is a strategic asset and America’s energy insurance against disruptions to the world’s flow of crude oil.
