BILL MILLIARD - BACKGROUND INFORMATIONI am with Global Technical Services division of Crawford & Company. GTS handles large, complex property losses.I have handled all types of homeowners and commercial property claims under both ISO andmanuscript policy forms. The commercial losses included building and business personalproperty, business income, inland marine (heavy equipment, computer equipment, school relatedproperty and equipment, moving and storage related insureds, etc.), crime (fidelity and others)and some boat claims.I have experience with fire, water damage (including mold losses), tornados, collapsed roofs, hail,wind and some September 11, 2001 business interruption losses. I have worked as acatastrophe adjuster.After college worked in accounting positions until 1986, then started working for Royal & SunAlliance (Royal Insurance at the time). Worked in accounting area for two years, thenclaims for fifteen years, the last thirteen years in property claims. Attended GAB Robinstraining courses in property claims adjusting; ITA courses in property insurance coverage.I started with another independent adjusting firm December of 2003. I have handled a variety of property losses in theMidwest, upper Midwest, Gulf Coast and Florida. The largest loss I have been involved withwas assisting three Executive General Adjusters on a $200 million Hurricane Charley loss(August, 2004) to a hotel ownership group. In early 2009 concluded a Kansas City metro arealoss involving $4.5 million in hail damage to over 250 separate buildings in a retirement livingcomplex. Also in 2009 concluded handling, with an Executive General Adjuster, a HurricaneFrances loss (September, 2004) with claimed damages in excess of $50 million.
