About Bill Jackson
William G. “Bill” Jackson Jr. is currently retired from Tennessee Valley Authority. expertise includes Energy Efficiency, Demand Response and Evaluation, Measurement and Evaluation. Bill also served as Senior Advisor to the Vice President for Emerging Technologies across all markets. Bill has over forty years of experience in the utility industry spanning assignments from Cleveland, Ohio (Centerior Energy – now FirstEnergy) to Las Vegas, Nevada (Nevada Power – now NV Energy) to Long Island, New York (Long Island Power Authority) to Portland, Oregon (Paragon Consulting Services), Nashville and Chattanooga, Tennessee. His areas of expertise cross energy efficiency, demand response, program development and management and strategic planning. Bill has experience in the IOU, public power and consulting industries and understands the challenges existing in meeting unique customer, corporate and political needs. He has a BA/BS in Psychology and Marketing as well as an MBA from Lake Erie College in Ohio. Bill holds Management Certificates from the Darden School at the University of Virginia and Graduate School University of Michigan. He was the lead instructor for the American Public Power Association in the Energy Efficiency Management Certificate Program and for the Association of Energy Services Professionals in delivering an all day course on Demand Response. Bill is an outdoor advocate participating in a number of conservation and habitat restoration organizations. previously residing in Nashville with wife Debra, they now enjoy Pura Vida in Costa Rica with their French Brittany pup River and Fox Terrier Cissy. Bill still engages in part-time consulting on utility and utility-related matters with a number of clients.
