About Bill Green
I\'m a professional engineer, I design and manage cooling tower systems with zero blowdown, I manage rainwater system that feeds treated water to cooling towers, I specify corrosion inhibitors for rainwater, softened water, hard water and process closed loops. I work on industrial cooling systems for furnaces, plastic molding, metal forming, ventilation and refrigeration. I specify methods for waste water processing to remove metals, chemicals, solids and ions of contaminants in water. Waste water methods I am employing include inclined plate clarifiers, mix tanks, filter press, sludge tanks, sequential batch reactors, reverse osmosis membranes, multimedia filters and chemical precipitation chemicals. The waste water treatment systems have been used to reuse the water in cooling towers or to discharge water meeting EPA limits. I have developed high quality water systems for use in metal processing such as copper and specialty steel. I also do forensic engineering studies on mechanical systems related to water losses in residential commercial and industrial sites.I have a keen interest in saving energy and water in industrial and commercial facilities and have developed a list of strategies that include lubricants for refrigeration systems, chemical additives for water that improves heat transfer, LED lighting tubes that reduce electric by 60%, safety signs using no energy and other power reducing methods. I use resources to determine return on investment to show justification for energy strategies.I will service the accounts I provide solutions to and offer my expertise wherever appropriate. My machine design, engineering mechanics and power plant experiences have given me unique insight into industrial and commercial operations. I currently service 20 cooling towers and 20 closed loop cooling systems all on water reduction methods. The closed loops all use energy reducing chemistry and corrosion inhibitors.
