Oversight of mechanical design engineers (Application Engineering Dept.)- Promote continuous improvement initiatives through collaboration and goal establishment - Support / Develop team members that are self-reliant, successful, out of the box thinkers, collaborative and driven - Responsible for the evaluation of all OEM orders prior to the manufacturing process. Quantify the results of those evaluations and work with internal depts. to improve accuracy and efficiency with the goal of maintaining a minimal error rate - Liaison between organization’s internal depts. and OEM - Work closely with the OEM regarding the end user spec sheet. This is done to verify that the organization’s products meet the end user\'s request or to inform them that the verbiage within their spec is not a current product offering - Work closely with the following internal depts, finance, purchasing, customer service, supply chain, engineering, tooling, quality, production and executives to ensure the organization meets the demands of the customers in a timely manner with a quality product - Promote / champion process improvements within the organization for and with my team through meetings held bi-weekly - Remove roadblocks that are impeding team members and/or projects progress - Brainstorm with team members, other dept.’s and OEM when the end user is making a request that has been unheard before, but appears feasible.
