ABOUT BILL FARTHING
Bill Farthing has more than 40 years of experience in law firm leadership and regulatory and employment counseling and litigation. During his 40 year career at Parker Poe Adams & Bernstein, he served on Parker Poe’s Board of Directors for 22 years and was the Firm’s first full time Chairman and Managing Partner from 20••••12. He was also founder and Leader of the firm’s Employment and Employee Benefits Practice Group prior to his election as Managing Partner. Mr. Farthing retired from full time law practice in 2015, but remains Of Counsel at Parker Poe and as University Counsel for Johnson C. Smith University, Charlotte’s only HBCU, which position he has held for over 15 years. Prior to serving as University Counsel, Mr. Farthing served for 12 years as a member of JCSU’S Board of Trustees.
