ABOUT BILL DONIGAN

Dr. Donigan graduated with a BS from Marquette University, Milwaukee, Wisconsin in 1979. He then entered the dental program at University of Illinois, Chicago, Illinois graduating in 1983. That same year he purchased a private practice in Osage City, Kansas practicing dentistry there until 2007. In 1998 Dr. Donigan became the Dental Director at the Martin de Porres Dental Clinic in Topeka, Kansas while also operating his own dental practice. He oversaw the expansion of services and the hiring of staff. After stabilizing that clinic he then went on to direct the expansion of the dental clinic at Flint Hills Community Health Center in Emporia, Kansas in 2002. While working at these clinics his desire grew to further his public health education, and in doing so, completed his MPH in 2007 at the University of Kansas Medical Center, Kansas City Kansas. Also in 2007, he and his family made a decision to move to North Carolina after being hired as Dental Director at Gaston Family Health Services (now Kintegra Health) in Gastonia, North Carolina. In 2011, Dr. Donigan was named NNOHA’s Clinician of the Year and also named Gaston counties “Public Health Hero”. And in 2016 was named “Outstanding Provider of the Year” by the North Carolina Community Health Center Association. In 2012 he joined Dentaquest Partnerships Safety Net Solutions as an expert advisor. He has advised over 50 health centers across the country, including three of past six Rossetti award winners. Dr. Donigan is passionate about Public Health Dentistry and creating collaboration with other organizations that support “unified dental care for all”. He serves as a consultant and public speaker for health center dental programs with 37 years of clinical experience and is well versed in operations and practice management, with an emphasis on medical dental integration, navigation teledentistry and expansion of services.
