About Bill Demeter

I am a fully licensed CPA, and have been practicing since 2021. I graduated the Master\'s of Science in Taxation program from Eastern Michigan University at the top of my class. I also hold a bachelor\'s degree in accounting from EMU. I have a diverse range of skills in all aspects of accounting and business administration. There are few fields I have not had some level of exposure to, which allows me to contribute to the bottom line very quickly. Currently I am the Senior Tax Accountant for The Doctors Company, the world\'s largest malpractice insurance company. It is owned and operated by Doctors for Doctors - to ensure patients get the best care possible. I prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual Provisions for TDC, on a GAAP, Tax, Cash, and Statutory basis. I also prepare the related tax returns, along with Schedule P work. It is an extremely complex environment requiring in depth tax research skills, and an ability to translate these to Statutory and GAAP rules. My diverse set of skills and experience along with a strong work ethic allows me to accel at anything put in front of me. No matter if its GAAP, non-profit,financial accounting, tax, statutory accounting, or business law matters. There is nothing in the world of accounting I won\'t strive to be the best at.
