ABOUT BILL CONSTANGY

I am an Arbitrator & Mediator. I serve as a member of American Arbitration Association Employment, Commercial, Large & Complex Cases, Judicial and Real Estate Panels and am a Certified NC Superior Court Mediator.I serve and have served as Arbitrator and Mediator in the resolution of a wide variety of federal and state employment disputes, including covenants not to compete, wrongful termination, discrimination,wage and hour claims and executive contract disputes; commercial contract, franchise and other business disputes: real property; administrative law, and tort disputes.As a state trial court judge from 19••••14, I have been privileged to preside over thousands of civil and criminal jury and non-jury bench trials during my 25.5 years on the bench, including criminal felony and misdemeanor cases, almost every type of civil case, such as, covenants not to compete, business and corporate litigation, fraud, employment law litigation, commercial, torts ( personal injury ), malpractice, equitable distribution, child custody and other family court matters, contract disputes, construction litigation, real estate and foreclosure litigation, wills and estate litigation, to mention a few. Before becoming a Superior Court Judge, I was lead civil judge in District Court and before becoming a judge I engaged in civil and employment law practice in State and Federal court and as a judge have engaged in presiding over hundreds of judicial settlement conferences. I am also an approved trainer for the NC Dispute Resolution Commission. I am also a frequent lecturer and public speaker and published author of four law books and numerous articles on employment law and other legal subjects in law reviews, periodicals and newspapers.
