Extensive skill set in a vast array of immunological, viral, molecular and cell biological techniques. More than a decade of analytical laboratory management experience in industry and academia.Returned to graduate school 8 years ago to study immunosensecence, autophagy and myocardial infarction (MI) in Professor Lintons lab. In so doing, I engaged in substantial in vivo mouse work whereupon primary cells were isolated via MACS/FACS and then interrogated with Flow cytometry, Westerns & qPCR.Though my first PI quit unexpectedly, I obtained a coveted CIRM Stem Cell Internship, and restarted my thesis in Miles Wilkinson\'s lab at the Sanford Consortium. Investigating the role of UPF3B in the nonsense mediated RNA decay pathway,engaged in daily stem cell culture for in excess of a year in order to determine the basis of UPF3B-X-linked Intellectual Disability. I utilized Flow, CRISPR/Cas9, siRNA/lentiviral knockdown, Immunocytochemistry, RNASeq analysis, and qPCR to link specific transcripts to UPF3B-XLID. Designing/executing a series of CRISPR/Cas9 nickase knockin experiments from the culture stab up, I picked and banked back 99 surviving iPSC colonies, 3 of which were demonstrated to contain sizable, targeted insertions. As Staff Research Associate with Tariq Rana and Aaron Carlin\'s labs at UCSD Medical for more than five years, engaged in elaborate experimentation in immunology, virology, oncology, RNA biology and drug development. Recent publications are focused on SARS-CoV-2 fundamental, molecular and clinical biology. I also possess considerable instruction experience to individuals, groups and classrooms, from both industry and academia.
