ABOUT BILJANA MICHEL
I had the chance to live few different lives in different countries. In Serbia I was a dietitian – nutritionist because I wanted to advise and guide people with health issues. I have always been attracted by visual expression and I love to create. So, when settling in France, I became a web developer to be able to create graphic contents with numbers and letters. When I discovered the world of digital accessibility, I had an \"Eurêka\" experience. I can conjugate my wish to be there for the people with the creative side of web development. I started learning about it, searching all the available resources and using it in my work. Unfortunately, the people I worked with had no interest in it, making me feel like an outcast. The day my daughter was born, I made the decision to set an example for her. I want to show her that we should follow our dreams, even if they seem hard to reach. I want to help to build a universally accessible digital world, this is why I am now dedicating myself fully to web accessibility.
