ABOUT BILAN HASHI

I believe the experience is the story—and that understanding people is the most powerful strategic advantage we have. I’m a human-centred, evidence-driven researcher and strategist with 11+ years in participatory research, behaviour and emotion-centred insights, and inclusive service and experience design. My work sits at the intersection of psychology, anthropology, belonging, and emerging human–AI interaction. I help teams uncover what people truly need—and design systems, services, and stories that create meaningful impact. At the core of my practice is curiosity. I grew up constantly asking \"why?\", a habit that taught me that every \"why\" opens a doorway to a new ‘because’-a new insight, behaviour, or connection waiting to be understood. That same curiosity led to my academic work on affective belonging, cultural diversity, and relational connection, which now grounds the ethical, inclusive lens I bring to research and design. Today, I explore: How people make decisions and what shapes their emotional landscapes. How we design equitable, accessible, human systems—especially in high-stakes spaces like finance, health, and AI. How stories, environments, and interactions can restore trust, clarity, and a sense of belonging.How hybrid human–AI teams can think, feel, and collaborate better together.I’ve lived and worked in 30+ countries, driven by a desire to understand people’s lived realities across cultures. That global perspective fuels my commitment to ethical storytelling, behaviour change, and designing with—not just for—communities.
