Risklayer is an independent think tank based in Karlsruhe, Germany. Risklayer was born out of the Center for Disaster Management and Risk Reduction Technology at the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT) in Germany as well as the General Sir John Monash Foundation in Australia. Risklayer is involved in international research projects (e.g. EU Horizon 2020 and BMBF) and provides consultancies to clients such as AON, ASEAN, EDF, GIZ and IDMC. Risklayer’s services are founded on our catastrophe loss modelling technology and databases that cover all major natural hazards - including earthquakes, flood, tsunami, landslides, hurricanes, winter storms, tornadoes and hailstorms – as well as man-made hazards – including fire, blast and impact loading. We are committed to providing our clients with understandable and tailored analytics that support critical disaster risk management decisions.
