ABOUT BIHTER KARTHEUSER

Bihter Kartheuser MA, ICF, USABP, Nervous System am a world citizen and a passionate advocate for mental health. Through my journey, I have explored a variety of tools and approaches to navigate existential concerns. In the end, nervous system work became the unifying foundation that brought all these methods together. I have an academic background in sociology and media studies. During my doctoral studies, I reached a point where theory alone could no longer satisfy my curiosity. This led me to leave academia and pursue a path as a yoga and meditation teacher. Alongside my yoga practice, I also worked as a translator for many years. Over time, recognizing the limitations of the spiritual world, I discovered coaching—a field that offered a more integrative and grounded approach to personal transformation.I completed a mindfulness coaching training and became an accredited ICF coach. Currently, I am working toward obtaining my ACC-level recognition. As I delved deeper into coaching, my desire for deeper knowledge grew, leading me to the NeuroSystemics Care training. This innovative approach to the human psyche integrates nervous system science, trauma science, and positive psychology in a pioneering somatic framework.I recently completed a three-year training with NeuroSystemics, accredited by the USABP, and am engaged in a clinical study to further develop my expertise. Additionally, I am in the process of accrediting my work in Germany as a Heilpraktiker für Psychotherapie.Coming from a multi-disciplinary background currently, I work as a coach and as a language mediator in psychotherapy sessions for political asylum seekers.”I practice nervous system-oriented somatic work, grounded in a relational approach. Within the safe container of our sessions, we cultivate both co-regulation and self-regulation skills. By integrating elements of positive psychology, I support you in developing nervous system resilience. This work can help you better understand how your nervous system functions and how to regulate it beyond our sessions. Potential benefits include: • Feeling more embodied in the present moment • Navigating relational challenges with greater ease • Recognizing nervous system states, understanding triggers, and responding with agency • Reducing rumination and tuning into bodily sensations, allowing you to meet your needs more effectively • Improving sleep quality • Preventing burnout • Addressing depressive tendencies • Managing stress in a gentler, more sustainable way
