ABOUT ROB BIGGS

I\'m honest to a fault, although I\'m a firm believer that half a truth is worth more than a truth and a half. My greatest joy and struggle in life is being the sole guardian and provider for my beautiful daughter. We knew life would be difficult navigating alone but we make the most of it by traveling, cruising, concerts, flights home to see family, and rolling down jasper with the windows down, screaming \"Have a nice day!\" at every random pedestrian. We have fun. My purpose in life is to inspire her to change the world. By volunteering my time and energy to service work when I can, sitting in ceremony with creator, chairing meetings, and pursuing my passion to make the world a better place; I hope it multiplies exponentially in her. My passion at work is sharing cultural awareness for first nations. I\'ve seen the power it has on craft and by sharing stories it helps to visualize since time immemorial. It helps influence the workplace culture and production. It helps bridge a divide hundreds of years in the making. When alliances were bonded with blood and recorded on a wampum belt. I am truly blessed to be so close with the culture and regularly attend sweats and ceremonies. When working I make necessary sacrifices with my time but the kid steps up to clean the house and make dinners when she doesn\'t have homework. With 15 years in the industry and references to rival any construction manager or superintendent, I\'m damn good at my job. But my greatest strength will always be creating connections and being the reason someone is a little happier to come to work. Atmosphere and culture can have such a drastic impact on the success of a project. Creating a team that has fun at work and goes home safe with a sense of gratification is my super power. Either on the tools or in the office, I love my job and I respect the dangers and sacrifices that come with it.
