   National Priorities Project

   I have served on the Board of Directors of National Priorities Project since 2008, and have served as Chair of the Board since 2012. NPP is a non-profit federal budget research organization, operating nationally and based in Northampton, MA. The organization works to make the federal budget a true reflection of the priorities of the American people, and to make the federal budget process transparent and democratic.In January, 2014 NPP was nominated for the Nobel Peace Prize by the International Peace Bureau, itself a former recipient of the Nobel Peace Prize. It\'s wonderful to see NPP recognized for the international significance of its work dealing with the impacts of US military spending.
