I am a Ph.D. candidate at Assam Agricultural University, specializing in Tea Husbandry and Technology, with research focused on the carbon sequestration potential of tea gardens in Assam. My work explores how tea plantations function as natural carbon sinks, contributing to climate change mitigation while enhancing the sustainability of the tea sector.Alongside carbon research, I actively work on optimizing production, improving tea quality, and developing eco-friendly cultivation methods that integrate traditional practices with modern scientific approaches. This dual focus allows me to address both the academic dimensions of climate-smart agriculture and the practical needs of the tea industry.I am committed to generating knowledge that strengthens Assam’s tea sector while contributing to global climate solutions. My vision is to build a tea industry that is innovative, resilient, and environmentally responsible, benefiting both the scientific community and industry stakeholders.
