Current responsibilities includes:+ Assisting w/ review & interpretation of Office of Management and Budget (OMB) directives and Department of Interior (DOI) guidelines, along with the preparation & consolidation of budgetary formulation and justification docs(Bay-Delta Office (BDO) budget incl. California Bay-Delta Restoration Fund (CalFed), CVPIA Restoration Fund (CVPRF), and Water and Related funds (W & WR)+ Examining the Budget Activity Plan (BAP) database for info in review of Regional & Area Office budget requests; prepares documents utilizing BAP data and Regional priorities for the Budget Review Committee Notebook+ Review and analyzing reports available from FBMS & maintains the database throughout the budget cycle. Monitor progress and status of funds obligated for BDO\'s Budget. Provide accurate financial data for inclusion in monthly reports on progress and status of funds.(Assists in recommending major program and budget actions for assigned appropriations and activities which are supportive of, and consistent with, existing agency and departmental guidelines, and in furtherance of Regional and Bureau of Reclamation goals and objectives.)+Ensure BDO projects and program obligation rates are maximized w/o exceeding funds approved by the Regional Director, and ensures no violations of the Federal Anti-Deficiency Act though developing and maintaining a fund utilization tracking system to provide forecasted info for management+ Analyze trends and irregularities shown on financial documents generated by Reclamation\'s accounting system. Assists w/ the identification of funding shortages/surpluses far enough in advance to ensure that corrective action can be taken w/ shortages & transferring surplus funds to other projects w/in the Region experiencing a shortage of funds+ Assist w/ responses concerning the nature and scope of budgeted program activities from the Commissioner\'s Office, Departmental budget examiners (PMB), OMB budget examiners, Congressional staff members, the California Water Commission, California Department of Water Resources, water and power customers, and reps of other public interest organizations. Assists w/ coordination w/ field offices and Regional Office divisions in directing and advising program personnel in the preparation of budgetary docs, including the Control Schedule, the Program Schedule, and the Supporting Schedule+ Meeting w/ internal BoR staff to discuss program & budget-related issues. Provide technical guidance and data relative to BDO\'s Programs for external customers
