ABOUT BIANCA ZHANG
I am a graduate of the Cities Engineering and Management (MEngCEM) program at the University of Toronto, with a background in civil engineering and a specialization in transportation engineering. I am passionate about improving urban mobility and delivering data-driven transportation solutions that support safe, efficient, and sustainable cities.My experience spans traffic operations and development-related transportation studies, including Transportation Impact Studies (TIS), safety analysis, and parking assessments. I regularly apply Ontario Traffic Manual (OTM) and Highway Capacity Manual (HCM) guidelines to evaluate multimodal capacity, travel demand, and operational performance, and to develop practical mitigation strategies.With a strong analytical foundation, I contribute to interdisciplinary planning and engineering teams through technical documentation, modeling, and analysis. My technical toolkit includes Synchro and SimTraffic, PTV Vissim, Aimsun Next, EMME, MATSim, and ARCADY, as well as AutoCAD for drafting and plan review support. I bring a detail-oriented, collaborative approach to projects at the intersection of policy, data, and transportation infrastructure.
