ABOUT BHUWAN SARETIA

Hey, I’m a final-year Electrical Engineering student at NIT Durgapur… who accidentally fell in love with code along the way. Right now, I’m interning at Amazon for 6 months, working on systems that actually run at scale (which is exciting… and slightly scary). Before this, I was a Software Engineer Intern at Ciena, where I focused on optimizing workflows and building systems that made life easier for the team. I enjoy working at the intersection of full-stack, machine learning, and problem-solving. On the dev side, I build scalable web apps using the MERN stack. I care about performance but also about how things feel: clean UI, smooth animations, and intuitive experiences. On the ML side, I’ve worked across the full pipeline from messy datasets to deployed models. I was also selected for Amazon ML Summer School 2025, which pushed me deeper into the field. And then there’s competitive programming the place where I’ve spent the most time struggling and growing- Global Rank 1781 (India Rank 367) in Meta Hacker Cup Round 2 - Rank 64 in Amazon ML Challenge 2025 - Codeforces Expert | CodeChef 4 star | LeetCode Knight - 1200+ problems solved It taught me how to think, not just code. I’ve also been actively involved in open source, because building in public and learning with others just hits different. Academically, I’ve had a few key milestones: AIR 3 (TIET), AIR ~30k (JEE Main), AIR ~17k (JEE Advanced), and 204/390 in BITSAT.I had options like IIT Dhanbad, Thapar University, and BITS Pilani Civil but chose NIT Durgapur for Electrical Engineering. Looking back, that decision shaped my journey in ways I didn’t expect (in a good way). Outside of tech, I enjoy traveling, good music (FSOG/FSD vibes), and staying active it keeps me sane. I’m always up for building cool things, solving real problems, or just having a meaningful conversation.
