ABOUT BHUWAN BHASKAR
Ph.D. in Bioengineering and Technology, specializing on the effects of a fermented beverage on gut microbiota, I performed experiments on metagenomics, metabolomics, biochemical analyses, and the gut brain axis using mouse and human subjects. I optimized the fermentation process in the laboratory resulting into a beverage resembling red wine, culminating in patents. The technology was transferred to a commercialization partner. Further, I served as a research scientist at Dr. B. Borooah Cancer Institute, Guwahati, India performing real time PCR based screening of COVID 19 samples. As a postdoctoral fellow, at Ariel University, I explored the hemostatic properties of a composite using mouse model. Beyond the lab, I am passionate about traveling, photography,music and learning new languages. I am eager to connect with like-minded professionals and collaborate on projects on functional foods, gut microbiota and its interactions with the host.
